Music, anyone? The Prairie Winds Adult Concert Band meets every Wednesday evening between September and May to play a variety of band music, including marches, overtures, pop tunes, and Broadway musical arrangements. Current members range in age from early twenties to retirees; our minimum age is 18, and there is no maximum.
There are two groups:
If you would like to join us, please do! Just give us some warning by contacting Bob beforehand, and we'll find you a chair and a stand. | - " a bunch of re-cycled teenagers" - "the best kept secret in Regina" Seriously, though, we are a group of musicians that enjoy playing concert band music. We have two major concerts each year, at Christmas and at the end of the season in late April or early May. We have recently added a Concert of Remembrance, in addition to our participation in the November 11 service in Fort Qu'appelle. |

Fun and Games
Along with the work...So far, we've had some nice autumn weather, so there should be no excuses for not getting to rehearsals - especially since we don't have many rehearsals left until our Concert of Remembrance. And it's getting closer everyday - as seen on the countdown timer to the left. There isn't much time to clean up that new music, and we still need to get the old stand-bys out and polished up a little. So, please, make some time to work on the new pieces. This week we also have the Halloween costume fun - wear your costume to rehearsal, and see if you win the prize - the judges are not prone to outside judging ...
