Let's Keep Marching On

February 26

Intermediate band is playing at the Optimist Festival on Wednesday, March 22 at 5:45 pm. While the recommendation is to be there an hour ahead of time, we do acknowledge this might not be possible for everyone - please get there as early as you can to warm up. 

Next up is our Burger Nite Fundraiser on March 11th at the Eagles Club (see calendar entry). Please let Sandra know how many will be attending as soon as possible - the estimated numbers are needed on February 28. 

And the very next day, the Pep Band is holding its first rehearsal and open house at 1:00 pm at the Eagles Club. 

February 9

Time really does seem to move faster as one gets older - it seems like just a few days ago that we were starting up for the 2022/23 season, and now it's over half way done! 

Our Christmas concert was a success - the gym at Lakeview United church was quite full - one might even say crowded. 

We're already into February, so the intermediate band is busy with its pieces for the Optimist Festival - something we've missed the last couple of years, but now it's back! Once we have the time for their performance, it will go onto the calendar.   

September 5

Tonight, and last week, there was a run-through of some of the music for the upcoming Band in the Park (Buffalo Pound) adventure on September 11. We now have the order and the music for  the concert. The plan is to meet at the Northwest corner of the Southland Mall parking lot at 12:30pm next Sunday. See the calendar entry for more details!

The instruments and digging out the music

There were new faces at the Registration Night August 22!! We look forward to properly welcoming them when regular rehearsals start September 12 - at the Eagles Club again. That makes it convenient for those who want to have a bit of a social afterwards!
