Has Spring really, truly sprung?

We won't know for another few weeks whether winter has loosened its icy grip, but we'll enjoy the sun and warmth when we can!
Optimist Festival went well for Senior band, for the most part. We had a lovely clinic with Jonathan Dagenaise, who gave us a fresh insight into the Second Suite in F. Thank you to all who came out to play - and to those few scattered souls who were in the audience.
Thank you also to those who have supported the Steak Night Fundraiser!
Upcoming:
Since Thom is unavailable April 12th, we will be rehearsing that day at Lakeview United Church, in the gym, at the regular times. However, Intermediate band will need to come a little early to set up, and Senior band will need to stay a little later to put everything away.
The University of Regina Wind Ensemble has a concert pn Tuesday, April 4th, at 7:30pm. Guest soloist Dr Pauline Minevich will be premiering Dance Suite for Clarinet and Band. The Campbell Chamber Winds will also be performing.
Our AGM will be held on a Wednesday evening in May to preserve our oh-so-few rehearsals left before our concert. It will only take 30-45 minutes; watch for the date!
Reminders:
For those who are taking part in the Just Bake It fundraiser, please get your orders in as soon as possible.
Proceeds from the Hot Dog sale during the summer and the 50/50 draws are can only be used for extras like new music if all the other bills are paid first. Our fees are the major source of funds to keep the organization going.
Save the Date:
This is a summary only - details are on the calendar.
