Here's hoping our skies of November take their time getting gloomy, now that ghosts and goblins of All Hallow's Eve have come and gone!
While this week's rehearsal should be as usual, do check the schedule from time to time to see if there are any knowin issues - such as the location for rehearsals on November 23 & December 7, as well as concert times and dates.
Please read the email update ALL the way TO THE BOTTOM - to confirm that you won the 50-50 draw, or to double-check whether there's an issue with our rehearsal location.
Also, since we occasionally have to deal with items in a shorter than average time frame, it is a good idea to check for emails before leaving for rehearsal.
November 11 is looming ahead quickly - please make every effort to get to rehearsals, and let Jane or Bob know if you can't be there. Our concert at Lakeview is the very next day, so please use the attached poster (or one of the fancy pre-printed ones available at rehearsal) to publicize wherever you can. (it's also on the calendar entry!)The exception, of course, is for the poppy, which is available for a donation in numerous establishments.
Remember: our concert attire is ALL BLACK and since we're not going to hit the rugby pitch, that includes socks and shoes!!
The next weekend after that is our Bowling Night at the Golden Mile Lanes; complete with pizza after we bowl.
Fees (for the full year or the first half) are now overdue. Please talk to our extraordinarily understanding treasurer to arrange payment!
As our fundraising commitments are minimal, our fees are an important way to keep the organization going. : a Hot Dog sale during the summer, and 50/50 draws once a month - and at the concerts.
Save the Date:
This is a summary only - details are on the calendar.
